BELIEVE, PRAISE GOD & RECEIVE THE VICTORY!

SOMETHING FOR THE INNER MAN

The Holy Spirit led me to Ephesians 3:16 in a moment of weariness. A still, small voice said, “be strengthened”. Immediately, I searched the Bible and found the scriptures in context. I remembered Jehosephat’s prayer again in 2 Chronicles 20. Thereafter, the song, “Here I Am To Worship” came to my spirit.

Signs continued to leap from books, ads, and recent blog posts highlighting courage , the beauty in the desert and statements saying, “trust God”, “nothing is everything”, “choose chill”. The LORD is our “light and salvation”.

ENCOURAGEMENT CHRONICLES & PRAYERS

The LORD, reminds us to worship and praise while standing still in faith. Faith reminds us stand with expectation, as Jehosephat and the congregation did. Stand in position, in honor and obedience— waiting to watch God bring victory. Love reminds us, as we do what we were created to do — God vindicates and defends us.

While rereading and meditating on the scriptures, specific parts of 2 Chronicles 20:20 and 2 Chronicles 21-22 stood out.

BELIEVE

“… Believe in the Lord your God, and you shall be established; believe His prophets, and you shall prosper.”- 2 Chronicles 20:20

PRAISE GOD

21 And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed those who should sing to the Lord, and who should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army and were saying:

“Praise the Lord,
For His mercy endures forever.”

2 Chronicles 20:21

RECEIVE THE VICTORY

“…Stand still… see the salvation of the LORD…”- 2 Chronicles 20:17

22 Now when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushes against the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; and they were defeated. –2 Chronicles 20:22

WHERE WE STARTED

Paul shares a compassionate prayer in Ephesians 3:14-21 for believers to experience the fullness of God, love, and the mysteries of the kingdom in Jesus Christ.

  1. Keep it real with God when you’re struggling in any way. (Matthew 11:28-29, Psalm 121:4)
  2. Acknowledge feeling weariness, but don’t succumb to it. Things will turn around! (Galatians 6:9, Isaiah 58:6)
  3. Walk in love. (Matthew 22:37-41, Acts 2:38, Numbers 6:24-26)
