One morning around 6:30am, I searched for exfoliating solution in the dark. After pausing in audacious frustration, I realized what was physically doing. I was so focused on retrieving the serum, it didn’t occur to me that I was searching in the dark. It was a personal Word. Meme’s could only describe the face I made as I sarcastically said, “turn the lights on”. I sensed the presence of God. 😅
Me: making faces at myself.

GOD: waiting for me to realize I was trying to see in the dark…

MESSAGE
I was cracking up as I imagined dude with the glasses as God’s expression watching me guesstimate where the solution was. God continued making things plain. Stoic memories flashed scene by scene as he revealed subconscious patterns of choosing a difficult route. Love revealed that many things I believed were deceptions. Several prophetic voices confirmed the same message.
The small task turned analogy was deep. What’s deeper is that Light was with me in the space. I didn’t take much to access. The lamp was very close to where I stood. It literally required me to take one step to the right, slightly reach up and pull it’s cord. This is the same for God’s word in any situation that is dark or difficult to perceive. His Light illuminates everything around us and helps us to make better and wiser decisions.
A BIGGER PICTURE

Struggle and a melting pot of erred spiritual credences boiled over into a hot mess. The Holy Spirit helped me to unpack the trauma and trains of thought that searching in the dark symbolized. There were yokes to break, burdens to release and ideas to let go of.
Frustrations and confusion is a sign to pause and listen inwardly. The Holy Spirit revealed that subtle resistance to ease is residue of past trauma and hardship. God wants to free us from bracing ourself for negative impact . Life doesn’t always have to be hard. Jesus said ask. God promises joy, a mended heart and liberation.
HOW DID THIS HAPPEN?
Rushing around without stopping to observe myself literally caused me to forget two things:
1. Light was there and near by.
2. I was standing in the dark.
If we seek God’s word and ask for his wisdom, we will easily find what we’re looking for. God reveals exactly where what we seek is located, how many steps it takes to get it and what to do with what we see. Revelation may happen quickly or over time but it surely comes when we seek God wholeheartedly.
A LESSON, A HOPE & A PRAYER
Before using mental and physical effort towards a thing, seek God’s Light to see exactly where to reach. In any heightened emotion, it’s easy to miss things in front of our faces. Remember in this life, our paths are Son lit. As we seek and follow Him, we find perfect solutions for exactly where we are .
P.S.: I heard “ new wine skins”! All things “are become new”.
16 “I will bring the blind by a way they did not know; I will lead them in paths they have not known. I will make darkness light before them,
–Isaiah 42:16 NKJV
And crooked places straight. These things I will do for them, And not forsake them.”

1. God uses simple things reveal what hinders us.
2. If difficult to see, seek God’s Word and wait for his answers. God holds all wisdom, power and grace . The Holy Spirit reveals all we need to know.
3. Fast and pray. Seek God’s face. Let the Holy Spirit do his thing. Grace is real and his word never fails.
4. God can snap us out of a trance with common sense, laughter and a better method. Ask for help.
