Faux Pas & New Starts

For the past two weeks, the Holy Spirit has been talking about stewardship. Just a week prior, the LORD delivered a personal “g-check” message addressing past mismanagement and inner gifts buried in the aftermath of trauma, isolation and trials. I stood corrected as the Holy Spirit ‘ate me up’ in love. God indeed heals and restores.

As the message resounded throughout the Body Of Christ, I realized it wasn’t just a personal message, but a call for whomever may have drifted away at some point to return to God in all ways with whole hearts, ready to serve with all we’ve been given. A clean slate awaits God’s children that may have fumbled the bag and lost their way in the minutia of sin, church hurt, religious politics, and unresolved pain. The LORD says, “return to Me”.

Soul Sunday

God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?”Numbers 23:19

This Sunday’s message was about stewardship in church. The pastor taught from Matthew 25:14-30, diving in to the parable of the talents and the duty of tithing found in Malachi 3:8-12. The pastor reminded the congregation that all things belong to God and that God is faithful to fulfill his promises. Later that evening, the same message of stewardship was confirmed by a prophetic voice online.

We perform for an “audience of One”, for the benefit of many!

The Holy Spirit reminds many of us of the responsibility to serve within and support God’s kingdom as we’re called. We’re simply vessels for God’s good use. While writing I heard, “are you available?” By sharing what the LORD has placed within us and entrusted to us, we’re empowered to become good stewards.

Honestly, while writing this post I sensed the conviction of the Holy Spirit for the parts of myself I’ve withheld or hidden for a myriad of reasons.Every role, gift and resource is purposeful and essential in the Body of Christ. Our gifts, duties and resources are to be given “as unto the LORD and not to man…”. Doing anything “unto man” is a road to quit quickly the moment we become hurt or offended. We’re all human, growing and flawed. If our intentions are to please and be in alignment with God, by God’s strength, we become stable, decisive and able to extend grace and remain faithful through our imperfections and personalities. As we are faithful to God through our given assignments, God guides us to exactly where we belong in every season.

A MOMENT OF TRUTH

If you’ve been feeling a little pull to rededicate yourself in giving through service and resources, go for it in faith! The Holy Spirit reminded me of Jesus’ guidance in Matthew 6:1-6 for charitable giving, prayer, fasting and assurance of God’s promised reward for obedience. It’s only up from here! It’s a new day for a new page. Are you available?

The song “Lord I’m Available To You” came to my spirit to share. Check out this oldie but goodie. Let the lyrics resonate and the Holy Spirit guide you. God bless you!
