The True Light recounts the power of words.

Today, came with a beautiful gift. Now more than ever, I recognize the value of every word ever spoken. The Holy Spirit graced insight into matters of the heart, personal follies, and what truly matters from this moment forward.

While writing this post, a vision of a long silver ruler used to tailor clothing came to mind. While revising this post, Jesus mentioning “cloak” in John 15:22 came to my spirit. Here he references the covering /excuse for sin/ “missing the mark”. God’s reminded me that His word is the covering and eliminator of ill-fated words.
The vision of the ruler was elaborate. It had negative numbers on the left side, positive numbers on the right side and zero placed starkly in the center. The zero on the ruler represented silence. The left side negative words yielding regression and undesirable experiences. The right side represented God’s word, blessing, progression, good thoughts and experiences. The object illustrated a choice.

The Holy Spirit led me to Proverbs 18:21. Wisdom reminds us that we surely eat the fruit of our words. Though the concept can be a bit tricky when emotional, if we are conscious we can soberly choose good to “return to our bosoms”. With this in mind, releasing offense, anger and resentment are an important part of receiving true freedom. Negative thoughts and feelings conjures words that oppose “life more abundantly”.
1 Thessalonians 5:18 says, “in every thing give thanks… this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you”. Psalm 51:17 reminds us that God sees our broken hearts. Isaiah 61:1-3 assures us that God purposed to heal and mend. Hebrews 4:12-16 persuades us, God’s word has the power intervene on our behalf by faith.

1. Silence is a gift. Use your voice to speak life. (James 3:3-5, James 1:19-27)
2. God’s word is LIFE.
3. God’s thoughts towards us are good . (Jeremiah 29:11-13)
4. Thoughts create words. Words create experiences. Think good things. (Romans 12:2, Philippians 4:8), Joshua 1:8, Isaiah 55:11, Proverbs 4:23-27)
5. Jesus said love, bless and pray for those that wrong us. We can become whole. (Ephesians 4:26-27, Isaiah 61:1-3, Mark 9:23-24)
6. We “reap what we sow”. Sow good. (Galatians 6:7)
