“Morning Melodies v.s. Contrary Energies.”

RISE AND SHINE

A recent morning around 5:15am, “He’s Able” played in my spirit. The song was a gentle alarm clock for the inner man. Before un-snuggling from my blanket, the first few lines anchored the day’s perspective. The lyrics served a ‘go away’ notice to potential misaligned thoughts. Before I consciously engaged the song, I realized the word met me in advance. I sensed the Holy Spirit saying, Wake up! He’s able! God is more than able. God’s plans and thoughts are higher.

NEW FRAMES

Before receiving this word, I was mildly triggered. The enemy often provokes unhealed trauma responses to distract us and hinder faith. If given the opportunity, fear will influence our thoughts to perceive hardships as impossibility. This is not from God. God gives peace. The Bible says,“resist the enemy and he will flee from you”. “Greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world”.

Let’s choose to consciously discard any thought, feeling or circumstance; past or present, that undermines faith in God’s ability. May we have the grace to purge disruptions daily, in Jesus’ name. Lamentations 3:22-23 reminds us that the LORD’s “mercies are new every morning”. God is everything we need. With patience, prayer and humility, we receive what’s purposed for us in God’s timing.

BE ENCOURAGED

I share these scriptures and songs to encourage someone who may need a reminder. May the songs uplift your spirit. May the word of God answer your day. May we use old memories for our good by giving thanks that we are no longer in unfruitful or harmful situations. May God heal every concern we bring to him in prayer. May we leave it all in the LORD’s hands. Though life has many cycles and seasons, it’s a blessing to know they change.
