“Relax, Relate, Release In God’s Peace”

WHAT THE EFF!
The last two weeks have been particularly challenging. I soon learned that I wasn’t the only frustrated one. Many near and far expressed exhaustion with “revisits” from the past accompanied by spirits of depression, anxiety and coping mechanisms. Shared experiences of intense pressure, discouragement and discomfort abounded.
Simply, working towards goals or finding peace or strength became a chore. Soreness seemed to be a comfortless wound of the human spirit. Irritations born of sowing time, effort and resources with illusions of fruitlessness bathed in regret. I sensed something deeper was up with this! These experiences opposed the expectations of promise.
In tune, brothers and sisters throughout the Body prophetically acknowledged the feelings of a multitude. Scroll after scroll, pain and hopelessness were given a voice for those that had no strength to speak. I confess, that though I’ve tried to keep my attitude on the “up and up”, I’m among the number. Suffering was non-discriminatory. The ache was colorless and culture-less. Something bigger is going on here.

CARIDAD Cumpleaños
The Holy Spirit showed out at the peak of my curiosity. For God’s glory, I will preface this by stating that I am an English speaking person. I know some Spanish, but I am not yet fluent. I heard the Spanish word “caridad” in my spirit. Immediately, I looked it up and learned that it means charity, humanity, beneficence, benevolence and philanthropy. A few moments later, I heard “cumpleaños” in my spirit. It means birthday in Spanish. Both words combined translate to “charity birthday”. He who has ears to hear, let him hear.

The Holy Spirit spoke in my spirit: “If my people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray…”. Immediately, another scripture followed: “Howbeit, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting”. A nudge to fast happened more than once in recent days. The prophetic words I heard over the last two days confirmed it again. Clearly, if we want to overcome “this kind” of hurdle, we must heed the personal instructions of the Holy Spirit as he guides us.
KEEPING IT FUNKY 👀
I confess that my initial section title “What The EFF” meant something else that God (and y’all) know! While writing this message, the Holy Spirit replaced the additional “F” with a “P” when he spoke, “Effectual Fervent Prayer” into my spirit. Personally, I was drained. The truth is I didn’t want to hear another “any day now” message of hope. I was several margaritas down before scrolling on to a message that called me “to come up higher”.

“Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much”.
James 5:16
RESET
In the midst of me taking “the edge off”, the Holy Spirit intervened to help me make sense of what’s happening. In this season we are urged to trust God in silence and the unknown for the greater and the unseen. God is instructing us to deny our “go-to’s”for escape. This fasting is for purpose. Proverbs 13:12 says, “Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life.
A PROLONGED period of adversity caused my patience to run thin. After listening to accurate YouTube messages and tearfully fighting the urge to give up, portion of Galatians 6:9 came to my spirit.
“Let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not”.
Galatians 6:9
After saying within, “I don’t want to fight anymore”, the next youtube message I listened to was titled “Fight”, accompanied by prayer. Another sister spoke of promised blessings and instant change. Another sister encouraged us to seek God for guidance concerning “time sensitive” fasting and prayer. Another daughter of God shared by declaring today “you will reap what you’ve sown”. They all resonated in spirit. They were all prophetic.
God via Kingdom fam helped me to see that this time calls for visibility, transparency, empathy and vulnerability. This time things will be different. Let’s continue in hope, faith and expectation to see good fruit and the Spirit if the LORD moving on our behalf.
